Eller noe sånt. Jeg fikk nemlig kjøpt meg Ballades samlede i går. O lykke.

Through bookcrossing I found Heart on my sleeve and the 1001 Things blog.
I bought a book called ‘1001 places to see before you die’ and it struck me that we often have lists of ‘things to do’ but rarely celebrate things we’ve done….so, the lists of things we haven’t done get longer and longer and we forget how lucky we really are.
This is an exceedingly good idea, and one I’d like to copy. However, I need yet another blog like a hole in the head, so I will include the posts towards my 1001 things list in this blog, and simply tag them with the correct category.
With a not entirely explicable result, but I’m not fussy today, so I’ll post it anyway.
You are ‘growing one’s own food’.
You are guided by two words: ‘Live simply.’ You
value quality over quantity in most things, and
you have little use for the materialism and
consumerism of modern culture. You know the
value of hard work and try to be
self-sufficient as much as possible, and what
you do you do well. Unfortunately, no man is
an island, and you cannot do everything
yourself. Your puritanical work ethic makes
makes people think that you are weird, and not
much fun. Your problem is that growing one’s
own food has been obsolete for a long time.
What obsolete skill are you?

Heldigvis så jeg derfor ikke det nevnte programmet. Men jeg er lettet over å se at det ikke bare er meg som har problemer med Skavlands såkalte “intervjuer”.
Forøvrig anbefales man selvsagt å lese M hver dag.
I was trying to locate a castle in Wales – that is, I was trying to identify which castle we visited in 2001 because I’m using the pictures in a scrapbooking layout and thought it would be nice to have some specific details (though I think I’ll stick to the title “someplace in Wales” – I like the way it sounds). The point is I stumbled on this excellent webpage (excellent if you like that sort of thing – castles, I mean): Castles of Wales, and thought I’d better link to it, for your edification and my failing memory.

I’ve been a more active bookcrosser lately. Firstly, I discovered that you can sign up for alerts whenever any books are released near you (I know, I probably should have discovered before, but – let’s just face it – I’m a bit slow).
Secondly, I started hanging out in the forums, just a little, and that encourages a bit more effort on the releasing part.

Sikre kilder forteller meg at både adventskalendere og julemarsipan er på plass i butikkene. We are not amused.
Det er en utmerket anledning til å oppfordre alle til å skrive under på dette oppropet: Gi oss jula tilbake! Benytt også muligheten til å sende epost til “ukas niding”.
