I’ve never heard of it before, but apparently it’s been around for a while. I’d agree with Anetten and call them a bunch of pussies, if I hadn’t recently gone through the currently reading list for 2003 and counted only 52 books. Which is pathetic. However, I will try to do better this year, and I will blog them all, really. Really.

Are you sure you mentioned every book you read in the list?
Pfft. 50 books in a year is a challenge for me. Do inf*rmational books count? And if so, do you need to read them cover to cover in order for them to count, or is it enought to read about 80% of it?
Reading time is both greatly hampered and helped by this continuous spell of exhaustion. I tend to fall asleep really early, but then again I turn off the tv sooner and spend my last waking minutes in bed with a book, and on days I have to myself I have energy for little else than reading anyway.
Not 100% sure, but that was the idea, so if I’ve missed any it’s unintentional.
I think the originators of the challenge meant books you don’t need to read, so I’m sure textbooks for courses, for example, don’t count. However, I’m not sure whether a “self-help” type book would count… Probably not, come to think of it.
