I _mirthful_ pledge that I shall abstain from the purchase of “new” manufactured items of clothing, for the period of 2 / 4 / 6 months. I pledge that i shall refashion, renovate, recycle preloved items for myself with my own hands in fabric, yarn or other medium for the term of my contract. I pledge that I will share the love and post a photo of my refashioned, renovoated, recylcled, crafted or created item of clothing on the Wardrobe Refashion blog, so that others may share the joy that thy thriftyness brings! Being a bit more daring this time. Six months? Gasp! But… I have material, and plans. And I have several items of clothing that would be great but for x, y or z – prime material for a bit of refashion.
Last time round I actually kept to the pledge in that I didn’t buy any new clothes. However, I didn’t actually make/remake any either. So, not so great. This time I guess I’m going to have to. Six months is a long time, even for me…
