You scored as XIX: The Sun. This is the happiest card in the deck. It is full of joy and optimism, everything is right with the world. We are as innocent children playing in the fields without care. The Sun brings success, well-being and happiness in all spheres – material, emotional, spiritual -wherever our desires lay. When this card appears in a Tarot spread it indicates success, joy and happiness. Obstacles will be overcome, goals achieved. When badly aspected, it can indicate a stagnation through over-indulgence, too much of a good thing.

Which Major Arcana Tarot Card Are You?

Via Donna – and I tied with “The Empress” and got the sun when I chose “You are a happy person.” over “You are female.” as being “more true” (I figured it made sense since every time I do one of these tests where a computer is supposed to decide whether you are male or female from your writing or responses I always get “male” as a result).

Gah

3rd May? It’s been that long? Sorry guys, seems the more I have to write about the less I write. Fortuitously. Donna provided a meme. Aren’t you lucky?

A random title – the phrase just happened to appeal to me when it drifted into my head this afternoon.

Your Life Path Number is 8

Your purpose in life is to help others succeed

You are both a natural leader and a natural success. You are also a great judge of character.
You have a head for business and finance. You know how to make money.
A great visionary, you can see gold where other people see nothing.

In love, you are very generous – with gifts, time, and guidance.

You love to inspire people, but it can be frustrating when they don’t understand your vision.
Great success comes easily for you. But so does great failure, as you are very reckless.
You are confident, and sometimes this confidence borders on arrogance.

Ok, I follow you on that arrogance-thing, but “a head for business and finance”? *Goes off cackling with laughter*

Random firstliners

According to Donna, it’s an old meme. I’ve never seen it before, and in anycase I haven’t done it before, so here goes.

Step 1: Get your playlist together, put it on random, and play.
Step 2: Write down the first line from the first 20 songs that play or close to it. (I skipped those where the first line mentioned the name of the song.)
Step 3: Post and let everyone you know guess what song the lines come from.
Step 4: Cross out the songs when someone guesses correctly

(Btw – using google is cheating. Honor system, no cheating!)

It occurs to me that it’s the sort of thing one should only do with a long list of regular readers/commenters, but what the hey. I’m skipping the songs in Norwegian, btw. Perhaps I’ll do another one with just Norwegian songs later.

1. You can keep the good times, righteousness
2. Never knew I could feel like this, like I’ve never seen the sky before
3. I can’t stop this feeling
4. Girl when you hold me, how you control me
5. I met my love by the gas works wall
6. Come on, Virginia, don’t let me wait
7. When you rise in the morning sun
8. All these little rejections, how they add up quickly
9. You’re a song written by the hands of God
10. What would you think if I sang out a tune (if you also manage to guess whose cover version, I’ll be seriously impressed)
11. The blue around the morning moon, the colour of your eyes
12. I had a dream late last night, the water was running low
13. All my lazy teenage boasts are now high precision ghosts
14. I saw my love walking down the aisle
15. Happiness, it’s been no friend to me, but forever after ain’t what it’s all cracked up to be
16. You were full and fully capable, you were self-sufficient to a point
17. You can dance every dance with the guy who gives you the eye
18. I met a devil woman, she took my heart away
19. Hey, man, it’s been a while, do you remember me?
20. For a long time I was in love

Yes, well

Sorry, couldn’t resist:

You Are 60% Weird

You’re so weird, you think you’re *totally* normal. Right?
But you wig out even the biggest of circus freaks!

twisted
You have a twisted soul! Twisted Souls are never
bad, and actually, are a rarity amongst souls.
These souls are a little combination of
everything, with always a little of their own
chaos to add. Twisted Souls are kind, loving,
weird, zany, temperamental, and very talented.
They have their own firm opinion, and can at
one time be very outspoken and passionate, and
the other time shy and feeling insignificant.
Twisted Souls have good senses of Humor and
other times can be a bore. You can act quite
intelligent at one time, and grasp concepts
easily, while other times they can find it
difficult to understand. Twisted Souls are
always very fun and Kind, and can be party
animals. But, if you love someone, youre
serious about it, intense, and forever loyal.
Congratulations-the world should have more like
you.

3xThursday

1. Do you like to travel? Why/why not?

Yes and no. I like seeing new places and meeting new people. I quite like the bits of the plane journey where you can watch the world-as-map. I like train journeys and car journeys and bus journeys, as long as the seats are reasonably comfortable and there are things to see outside the window (i.e. I want the window seat). But I don’t much like hanging around in airports or train stations waiting (in fact, I don’t much like waiting. period.) and I get achy and restless from sitting still too long, so if the journey exceeds a certain length of time, I’ll stop enjoying myself and starting wishing we were there already.

2. Do you ever get to/have to travel for work? If so, how often? What for, usually?

Not much. Certainly not in my new job.

3. When was the last time you traveled?

Oslo at the beginning of November, for the whisky festival, and Dufftown, also for the whisky festival, before that.
